KEY DESCRIPTIONS

  1. Job opportunities: Our Opportunities Team is tasked to feed our member platforms with job opportunities. Members also share opportunities that could be beneficial to others.
  2. Internship opportunities: Through our Opportunities Team, mainly, we scout for and share internship opportunity openings with our members.
  3. Scholarship opportunities: Our Opportunities Team scout for scholarship opportunities, and make them available to members. Where necessary, we provide scholarship opportunities to deserving members of the TMG.
  4. Training opportunities: Our Opportunities and Programs teams scout for and provide students (and youth in general) with career development and training opportunities like workshops, conferences, seminars, etc.
  5. Other career opportunities: Timely information about tertiary institution admission notices and emerging career opportunities are made available to our members and the general youth.
  6. Member profiling: On designated days, we profile our members. The profile/exhibition is titled: “Need My Service?” It describes the job skills or abilities of the selected member for that day’s exhibition. This is to make their skills known to prospect employers.
  7. TMG Market: We have WhatsApp and Telegram groups exclusively made for our members—who may be into entrepreneurial ventures—to market their goods and services.
  8. Philanthropy: Supporting the needy in various ways is one of our key goals.
  9. Civic Education: Using various methods, including features (write-ups from members) and seminars, we provide civic education as well as social and political activism for positive change in society.
  10. Mentorship: We mentor High School students by providing them career guidance and life coaching.
  11. Features: Articles and news features are some of our major tools for advocacy. These articles are authored mainly by students (especially members of the TMG), and are engineered towards personal and societal development.
  12. Social and political activism: We take active steps to positively influence government policies for the benefit of students and the general youth.
  13. Seminars/Webinars: We host seminars for our members. We also share external seminar opportunities with members of the TMG.
  14. Conferences: We provide peer platforms for tertiary students to interact and have intellectual dialogues among themselves. This brings together tertiary thinkers, future leaders, change makers, development enthusiasts, SDG champions, and the likes to share developmental and life-changing ideas.
  15. Workshops: We have regular skill training programs, in the form of workshops, for TMG members and the youth in general.
  16. Press addresses: Where necessary, we organize press conferences to address or provide our take on crucial national and local issues.
  17. Research works: Interested TMG members come together to undertake researches in relevant fields of human existence and development.
  18. Tours: Occasionally, we go on tours to national or international tourist sites.
  19. Get-togethers: To encourage networking, we occasionally have dinners and other fun times together, either at the local or national level.
  20. Introductions: As a formality, new members are required to introduce themselves (name, institution, aspiration, part-time skill, etc.) when added to our WhatsApp platforms. Also, we engage in annual re-introduction of members. This is so that new members can get to know and network with old members, and vice versa.
