BACKGROUND
Did you know that more than 150,000 tertiary students graduate each year? Yes, and most of them struggle to secure jobs or launch profitable ventures due to mismatched skills, limited practical experience, and weak professional networks. Many barely have any skills or experiences to put on their CV apart from the Degree or Diploma.
But here is an opportunity to escape the numbers and make a diference. Tertiary Minds Ghana, through the Pathfinder Career Mentorship Program, is guiding students to practically live as the content of their ideal or would-be graduate CV. Through workshops, assignments, hands-on projects, and networking opportunities, mentees are guided to gain tangible competencies to enhance their employability, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. Focusing on capacity building, skills acquisition, attitude, continuous learning, reading habit, volunteering, entrepreneurship, academic excellence, and professional networking, the program bridges the gap between academia and industry. This flexible program is built around the textbook titled, “4 Years is Too Long for Just a Degree,” which has a CV Builder (Blank CV) section for mentees to fill with actual career experiences and achievements.
WHO CAN BECOME A MENTEE?
The Pathfinder Program is open to any student of a recognized tertiary institution or school in Ghana.
DURATION OF PROGRAM
- Each mentorship cohort lasts for 6 months (24 weeks).
- Workshop sessions with lead mentors are held once every weekend.
PROGRAM FEE
- A discounted fee of GH₵ 150, for a limited period.
- The fee covers mentorship, the textbook, and a branded Pathfinder T-Shirt.
